Laser Power

Laser power, measured in kilowatts (kW), plays a critical role in determining which materials and thicknesses can be cut with precision.

As an example, a 1 kW fiber laser can cleanly cut stainless steel up to about 5 mm thick, while a 6 kW system can tackle pieces as thick as 14 mm, allowing for greater flexibility across a wider range of materials.

Selecting the appropriate power level is vital for consistent performance. Too little power may result in incomplete cuts, while excessive power can compromise edge quality or even damage the material.
